MailLama brings your Proton Mail account into a calm desktop window on macOS and Linux. Proton’s own Rust SDK signs you in, encrypts and syncs. MailLama gives the inbox room to breathe.

Hi both,

The ferry leaves at 9:40 on Saturday. I booked the two rooms facing the lake, and the itinerary is attached.

What it does.
Everyday mail, done well.

MailLama covers the work of a mail day, from the first unread message to the last archived one.

Conversations

Messages grouped into conversations, with filters for unread mail and attachments. Nested folders and colored labels in a sidebar that remembers what you expanded.

Privacy by default

Remote images stay blocked until you allow them. Tracking pixels and link trackers are removed, and each message shows what was blocked.

Search

Search by sender, recipient, date, folder and attachments, and save searches you repeat. Optional content search uses an index on your computer.

Composer

Drafts save as you write. Drag files in as attachments, reply and forward, or schedule a message for tomorrow morning or next Monday.

Made for the desktop

Native menus on macOS and Linux, ⌘K or / to search, drag messages to folders or out as .eml files, print and per-folder notifications.

Your look

Light and dark appearance, an app-wide density setting and theme packages you can create, duplicate and import.

Privacy

Trackers stay outside

Newsletters and shops measure who opens their mail. MailLama shows the message without telling them.

  • Remote images load only when you ask for them.
  • Tracking parameters are filtered from links before you open them.
  • Links to other sites ask first, with Copy and Open.
